It is with great pleasure, on behalf of InSiGHT that we extend a warm invitation to our conference that will take place in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, Australia - the only place in the world where two UNESCO World Heritage areas meet; the Tropical Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

The meeting officially convenes on Wednesday afternoon the 28th of August with a Welcome Reception and ends Saturday 31st August around midday. The meeting will have associated satellite meetings:

• Australasian Cancer Genetics Meeting (KConFab) ; August 26th - 27th 
  
• Human Variome Project to be held 28th August as part of the InSiGHT meeting

We therefore encourage you to participate by registering and submitting your abstract for an oral or poster presentation, or simply join us to meet others and learn the latest in Colon Cancer Genetics. So, come along and immerse yourself in not only an educational meeting, but also a warm and friendly meeting. You can do all this while enjoying the fantastic surroundings and experiences Cairns has to offer.

Registration to the conference also includes a Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner. An optional excursion to the surrounding Cairns rainforest that includes dinner is also available.

You may also take out a joint registration package that includes both the Familial Aspects of Cancer meeting and the InSiGHT meetings (26th - 31st August) should you wish to attend both meetings.

Accompanying Persons

Accompanying Persons are most welcome to attend the Welcome Reception, Excursion and Conference Dinner only if tickets have been pre-purchased. You can do this at the time of registration or by contacting the secretariat prior to the conference. Costs to be advised.

Traveling to Cairns

Cairns international airport has direct flights from Asia and Europe and is linked to North America via all major Australian cities so is easily accessible. The airport is only a short drive from the city centre and the convention centre. More information is available on the Travel & Visa Page (see tab above).

Internet Access

We will provide wifi access throughout the conference centre so encourage you to bring your laptops, tablets and other wireless devices. 

Speaker Ready Room

All presenters MUST load their presentation into the appropriate session on the computer provided in the Speaker Ready Room at least 30 minutes PRIOR TO THE SESSION. We will not be chasing you - it is up to you to provide your presentation ON TIME!

Insurance

Registration does not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior coming to the Conference. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference, or through cancellation of the Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expense and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither the Conference Secretariat nor the Organsing Committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.
