Living on the road is tough when you lose your job, so it became a necessity to know all kinds of music. ??Joe is a popular studio musician who's backed many well known artist's, from Neil Diamond, Sonny and Cher to Perry Como and Liberace. Joe started singing Elvis songs from the moment he picked up a guitar so it's no wonder that he was thrilled meeting the King, not on one occasion but two. The Beagle Boys have a very big, fat and awesome sound that rocks and provides some of that Rock 'n' roll magic which is just electrifying. The 'fullback' on drums is Dennis Dunstan (ex-Fleetwood Mac-Manager/Stevie Nicks), Floyd Jones on guitar (ex-Zarszoff Bros), Rick Poole (ex-Late For Woodstock) on bass, and a great keyboard player and ex-international Jon May. By 1974 he recorded a single 'J'ai envie de toi" b/w "Cuckoo' in the same studio where Vangelis spent a lot of time, and so it came to be that Vangelis helped out with playing synths on these songs. Sammy Gaha also released some other singles while in Europe, 'Rock and roll is back again' and 'Had to run'. miss-teresa.jpg Organisation: Rockabilly Her soft giggles at band banter tittering through the speakers heralded the start of Miss Teresa and her Rhythmaires swinging fillybilly set. FIlled with songs of love, kissin’, huggin’, dancin’ and rockin’, it cannot be helped but compare Miss Teresa’s vocal stylings to artists such as Connie Francis and Brenda Lee. Throughout the set there are guitar changes that add the zing of crisp surf guitar lead melodies, perfect duet and background harmonies and the ever present chunky thunk of the double bass. Enjoying the clarity and beauty of the vocals, part of the allure of 1950’s pop and swing is in the lyrics that say so much without saying a thing. Much like the Hollywood films of the day that had fireworks representing the heat of a love scene, lyrics such as "I’m gonna rock my baby all night, I’m gonna kiss him, squeeze him, love him and hug him, I’m gonna rock my baby all night..." are delivered with poppy naivety yet convey the back seat shenanigans of lovers lane with a hint of bad girl rasp and a cheeky sly smile from the lady behind the microphone.
